Monteverde Costa Rica is a picturesque town located on the western slopes of the Tilaran Mountain Range. Located at approximately 6,000 feet above sea level, Monteverde is surrounded by a type of forest commonly known as a cloud forest due to the higher elevation.
In the 1950’s a group of Quakers settled in Monteverde and created, with local farmers, a community dedicated to sustainability. Using the environment to produce everything, this eco-friendly way of life serves as a model for the rest of the planet.
